FuellinesCheckthefuelhoses,pipingand
connectionsforleaks,loosenessordeteriora-
tion.Replaceanypartsiftheyaredamaged.
Chassisandbodymaintenance
Brakelines&cablesCheckthebrakelines
and hoses (including brake booster vacuum
hoses,connections&checkvalve)andpark-
ingbrakecablesforproperattachment,leaks,
cracks,chafing,abrasion,deterioration,etc.

itemswith*isfoundinthe‘‘8.Do-it-
yourself’’section.
Fuel filter If the vehicle is operated under
extremely adverse weather conditions or in
areas where ambient temperatures are either
extremely low or extremely high, the filter
might become clogged. In such an event,
replacethefilterimmediately.
Emissioncontrolsystemmain-
tenance
Brake pads & discs Check these and the
otherneighboringbrakecomponentsforwear,
deteriorationandleaks.Underseveredriving
conditions, they may have to be inspected
morefrequently.
Drive belts* Check drive belts for wear,
fraying or cracking and also for proper ten-
sion. Replace the drive belts if found dam-
aged.
Enginecoolant*Drainandflushthecooling
system.
Engine oil & oil filter* Under normal
drivingconditions,theengineoilandoilfilter
should be replaced in accordance with the
maintenanceschedule.However,undersevere
driving conditions, they may have to be
replacedmorefrequently.
Automatic transmission oil & differen-
tial gear oil* Visually inspect for signs of
leakage.Underseveredrivingconditions,the
oilshouldbereplacedatthespecifiedinterval.
Air cleaner filter Under normal driving
conditions, the air cleaner filter should be
replacedinaccordancewiththemaintenance
schedule. However, driving the vehicle in
dustyareasmaycausemorerapidcloggingof
the element. Consequently, the element may
havetobereplacedmorefrequently.
Steeringgear&linkage,axle&suspen-
sionpartsCheckfordamage,loosenessand
leakageofoilorgrease.Underseveredriving
conditions, more frequent inspection should
beperformed.
Sparkplugs*Replacewithnewplugshav-
ingthecorrectheatrange.
VaporlinesCheckvaporlinesandconnec-
tions for failure or looseness. If leaks are
found,replacethem.
Timing belt Replace the timing belt which
drivesthecamshaft.

Was looking for a way to disable the passenger airbag so I could have my dog beside me while traveling but it does not seem possible.
