Opentheenginehood.

Movethevehiclesafelyofftheroad,apply
the parking brake and move the gearshift
lever to the neutral position (automatic
transmissiontoP(Park)).
WARNING
Ifsteamorwateriscomingfromthe
engine, stand clear to prevent get-
tingburned.

After the engine cools down, check the
coolantlevelinthereservoirtankwiththe
enginerunning.Addcoolanttothereser-
voir tank if necessary. Have your vehicle
repairedatthenearestINFINITIdealer.
Donotstoptheengine.

Turn off the air conditioner switch. Open
all the windows, move the heater or air
conditioner temperature control to maxi-
mumhotandfancontroltohighspeed.

Visually check drive belts for damage or
looseness.Alsocheckifthecoolingfanis
running. The radiator hoses and radiator
shouldnotleakwater.Ifcoolantisleaking,
thecoolingfanbeltismissingorlooseor
the cooling fan does not run, stop the
engine.
TOWTRUCKTOWING
Ifengineoverheatingiscausedbyclimb-
ingalonghillonahotday,runtheengine
at a fast idle (approximately 1,500 rpm)
untilthetemperaturegaugeindicationre-
turnstonormal.
Whentowingyourvehicle,allState(Provin-
cial in Canada) and local regulations for
towing must be followed. Incorrect towing
equipment could damage your vehicle. Tow-
ing instructions are available from your
INFINITI dealer. Local service operators will
generallybefamiliarwiththeapplicablelaws
