● Be sure the seat belt tongue is
securely fastened to the proper
buckle.
● Allseatbeltassembliesincluding
retractorsandattachinghardware
shouldbeinspectedafteranycol-
lision by your INFINITI dealer.
INFINITI recommends that all
seat belt assemblies in use dur-
ingacollisionbereplacedunless
the collision was minor and the
belts show no damage and con-
tinue to operate properly. Seat
beltassembliesnotinuseduring
a collision should also be in-
spected and replaced if either
damageorimproperoperationis
noted.

Donotwearthebeltinsideoutor
twisted.Doingsomayreduceits
effectiveness.
●
Always route the shoulder belt
behindyourbackoveryourshoul-
derandacrossyourchest.Never
run the belt under your arm or
acrossyourneck.Thebeltshould
beawayfromyourfaceandneck,
butnotfallingoffyourshoulder.
●
Donotallowmorethanoneper-
sontousethesamebelt.
● Never carry more people in the
vehiclethanthereareseatbelts.
●
If the seat belt warning light
glows continuously while the ig-
nitionisturnedONwithalldoors
closed and all seat belts fas-
tened,itmayindicateamalfunc-
tioninthesystem.Havethesys-
tem checked by your INFINITI
dealer.

Position the lap belt as low and
snug as possible AROUND THE
HIPS,NOTTHEWAIST.Alapbelt
worntoohighcouldincreasethe
risk of internal injuries in an
accident.

Was looking for a way to disable the passenger airbag so I could have my dog beside me while traveling but it does not seem possible.
