Checkregularlytomakesurethat
all trailer hitch mounting bolts
aresecurelyfastened.
Always use a suitable chain between your
vehicle and the trailer. The chain should be
crossedandshouldbeattachedtothehitch,
nottothevehiclebumperoraxle.Besureto
leave enough slack in the chain to permit
turningcorners.
WARNING
Neverconnectatrailerbrakesystem
directlytothevehiclebrakesystem.
Toreducethepossibilityofaddi-
tional damage if your vehicle is
struckfromtherear,whereprac-
tical, remove the hitch when not
inuse.Removethereceiverwhen
notinuse.
Pre-towingtips
Trailerlights
● Be certain your vehicle maintains a level
positionwhenaloadedorunloadedtrailer
ishitched.Donotdrivethevehicleifithas
anabnormalnose-upornose-downcon-
dition; check for improper tongue load,
overload, worn suspension or other pos-
siblecausesofeithercondition.
Trailer lights should comply with Federal
and/orlocalregulations.
Tirepressures
When wiring the vehicle for towing,
connect the stop and tail light pickup
into the vehicle electrical circuit at a
pointbetweenthesensorandstoplight
switchorlightswitch.

When towing a trailer, inflate the vehicle
tires to the recommended cold tire pres-
sureindicatedonthetireplacard(located
ontheinsideofthegloveboxlid).
● Always secure items in the trailer to
preventloadshiftswhiledriving.
Trailerbrakes
●
Trailertirecondition,size,loadratingand
proper inflation pressure should be in
accordancewiththetrailerandtiremanu-
facturers’specifications.
●
Becertainyourrearviewmirrorsconform
toallfederal,stateorlocalregulations.If
not,installanymirrorsrequiredfortowing
beforedrivingthevehicle.
If your trailer is equipped with a braking
system, make sure it conforms to Federal
and/orlocalregulationsandthatitisproperly
installed.

Was looking for a way to disable the passenger airbag so I could have my dog beside me while traveling but it does not seem possible.
