CAUTION
The difference between magnetic north and
geographical north is known as variance. In
someareas,thisdifferencecansometimesbe
great enough to cause false compass read-
ings. Follow these instructions to set the
variance for your particular location if this
happens:

The outside temperature sensor
is installed in the front of the
radiator.Thedisplaymaynotin-
dicate the precise temperature
due to the heat of the road and
engine depending on the direc-
tionofthewindanddrivingcon-
ditions,etc.

Establish your location on the zone map.
Recordyourzonenumber.

Use the ICE indication for refer-
enceonly.Confirmthetrafficin-
formation and road conditions to
drivesafely.
2. Push the ON/OFF switch in for five sec-
ondsuntilthecurrentzoneentrynumberis
displayed.
3.
PresstheON/OFFswitchrepeatedlyuntil
thenewzoneentrynumberisdisplayed.
COMPASSDISPLAY
Pushtheswitchwhentheignitionkeyisinthe
ACC or ON position. The direction will be
displayed.
Once the desired zone number is displayed,
stop pressing the ON/OFF switch and the
displaywillshowcompassdirectionwithina
fewseconds.
