turnthesteeringwheeland,therefore,
safelycontrolthevehicle.
Transporterortrailerlashing
Ifyourvehicleshouldrequiretransportingon
thebackofatruck,thentheairsuspension
mustbesetto’ACCESS’beforebeinglashed
(see’Electronicairsuspension’).Usethe
ringsonthefrontandrearcross-membersas
lashingpoints(seeillustration).DONOT
securelashinghooksortrailerfixingstoany
otherpartofthevehicle.
Towingthevehicleontwo-wheels
Ifitisnecessarytorecoverthevehicleby
towingontwowheelsonly,alwaysadhereto
thefollowing:
Removethepropellershaftfromtheaxle
whichistoremainontheroad.
Thepropellershaftflangeandshaftmustbe
markedbeforeremovaltoensurecorrect
re-assembly.Securethesuspendedpropeller
shaftsafelytopreventdamage.
Iftheairsuspensioncannotbesettothe
’ACCESS’position,thenyourvehiclemustbe
lashedbyitswheelsandNOTbythelashing
ringsreferredtoabove.
WARNING
Iftherearaxleistoberaised,thesteering
wheeland/orlinkageMUSTbesecuredina
straightaheadposition,butthesteering
lockMUSTNOTbeusedforthispurpose.
Thevehiclecanthenbeattachedtothe
towingtruck.
