pedaltravelisunusuallylongorifthereis
anyappreciabledropinbrakefluidlevel.
Thefluidlevelwillfallslightlyduringuseasa
resultofbrakepadwear,butshouldnotbe
allowedtofallbelowthe’MIN’mark.Any
substantialdropinfluidindicatesaleakinthe
system,inwhichcasethevehiclemustNOT
bedrivenandyoushouldcontactyourdealer.
Withthevehicleonlevelground,checkthe
fluidlevelatleasteverymonth(more
frequentlyinhighmileageorarduous
operatingconditions)asfollows:

Brakefluidishighlytoxic-keepcontainers
outofthereachofchildren.Ifconsumption
offluidissuspected,seekmedicalattention
immediately.

Turnthestarterswitchtoposition’II’to
activatethepump(brakewarninglight
illuminates).
DONOTdriveifthereservoirfluidlevelis
belowthe’MIN’mark.

Ifthepumpcannotbeheardtooperate,
pressthebrakepedalseveraltimes.
Brake/clutchfluidwilldamagepainted
surfaces:soakupanyspillagewithan
absorbentclothimmediatelyandwashthe
areawithamixtureofcarshampooand
water.
Waituntilthepumphasstoppedoperating
andthewarninglighthasextinguished
beforecheckingthefluidlevel.
Topping-up
Wipethefillercapbeforeremovingtoprevent
dirtfromenteringthereservoir,thentop-upto
the’MAX’markusingarecommendedfluid
(see’Generaldata’).
Takecarenottospillfluidontoahotengine
-
afiremayresult.
Ifthefluidshouldcomeintocontactwiththe
skinoreyes,rinseimmediatelywithplenty
offreshwater.
Useonlynewfluidfromasealedcontainer
(oldfluidfromopenedcontainersorfluid
previouslybledfromthesystemmustNOTbe
used).
