Handsetsynchronisation
Thehandsettransmitsacodedmessage,
whichchangeseachtimeabuttonispressed.
Ifahandsetisoperatedtoomanytimesoutof
rangeofthevehicleorifthehandsetbatteries
areremovedforlongerthanaminute,itmay
needtobere-synchronised.
Tosynchronise:
Insertthehandsetkeyintothestarterswitch;
thehandsetwillthenbere-synchronised.
NOTE:Handsetsynchronisationcannotbe
achievedifthevehiclealarmisarmedorifthe
handsetbatteriesneedreplacing.
Handsetbatteries
Whenthebatteriesneedreplacing,the
messagecentrewilldisplay’KEYBATTERY
LOW’.Toreplace:
•
Removethebatterycoverbyturningthe
coveranti-clockwisewithacoin.
•
Takingcarenottotouchthecircuitboard,
prisethebatteriesfromthecoverandfit
newones(withthepositivesidefacingthe
cover),andreplacethecover.
Thebatteriesshouldbereplacedwithin1
minuteofremovingtheoldones,otherwiseit
maybenecessarytore-synchronisethe
handset(see’Handsetsynchronisation’ ).New
batteriesareavailablefromyourdealer.
NOTE:Fingermarksonthebatterieswill
adverselyaffectbatterylife.Ifpossible,avoid
touchingthesurfaceofthebatteries,andwipe
cleanbeforefitting.
