Serviceinformation
Afteraperiodoftime(10yearsforfront
airbags,and15yearsforsideairbags)from
theoriginaldateofregistration(orthe
installationdateofareplacementairbag
module),somecomponentswillneedtobe
replaced.Notethe’airbagmodulereplacement
date’shownonpage2oftheServicePortfolio
book.Toensureabsolutesafety,itis
recommendedthatthisworkiscarriedoutby
aLandRoverdealerwhoshouldstampand
signtheappropriatepageoftheService
Portfoliobookoncetheworkiscomplete.
Ifitisnecessaryforachildtotravelinthe
front,itisessentialthatthevehicleseatisset
fullyrearwardsandthatthechildiscorrectly
seatedinaFRONTFACINGchildsafetyseat,
whichpreventsanypartofthechild’sheador
anatomyfromcomingintocloseproximity
withthesideairbag(notethewarninglabel
below).
Inaddition,ALWAYScontactyourdealerif:

anairbaginflates
thefrontorsideofthevehicleisdamaged,
evenifthecorrespondingairbaghasnot
inflated.

anypartofanairbagmodulecovershows
signsofdeteriorationordamage.
WARNING
DONOTattempttoservicerepair,replace,
modifyortamperwithanypartoftheairbag
SRS,orwiringinthevicinityofanairbag
SRScomponent;thiscouldcausethe
systemtoactivate,resultinginpersonal
injury.
