motor.

Steeringlocked(ifkeyisremoved).
Thefuelfillerflapcanbeopened.
Mostlightingcircuitsareoperational,
including:parklights,headlightsandhazard
warninglights.
Position’I’
STEERINGCOLUMNLOCK
Steeringunlocked.
Tounlockthesteeringcolumn
InserttheignitionkeyFULLYandturnthe
starterswitchtoposition’I’
Radio/cassette/CDplayer,electricwindows,
wipersandwasherscanbeoperated.
Position’II’
Tolockthesteeringcolumn
Turnthestarterswitchtoposition’0’and
withdrawthekeyfromthestarterswitch.
Allinstruments,warninglightsandelectrical
circuitsareoperational.
Position’III’
Startermotoroperates.
WARNING
Releasethestarterkeyimmediatelytheengine
starts(thekeywillautomaticallyreturnto
position’II’).
DONOTremovethekeyorturnthestarter
switchtoposition’0’whilethevehicleisin
motion.Oncethesteeringlockisengaged,
itisimpossibletosteerthevehicle.
Notethatoperationofposition’I’electrical
functionswillbeinterruptedduringengine
cranking.
NOTE:Onautomaticmodels’P’or’N’must
beselectedbeforetheenginewillstart.
