Odometer/TripOdometer
Showsthetotaldistancethevehiclehasbeendriven.
21. TransmissionRangeIndicator
This indicator illuminates to show the automatic trans-
missiongearselection.
U.S. Federal regulations require that upon transfer of
vehicleownership,thesellercertifytothepurchaserthe
correct mileage that the vehicle has been driven. There-
fore,iftheodometerreadingischangedduringrepairor
replacement, be sure to keep a record of the reading
beforeandaftertheservicesothatthecorrectmileagecan
bedetermined.
22. ABSLight
ThislightmonitorstheAnti-LockBrakesystem
describedelsewhereinthismanual.Theyellow
ABSlightwillcomeonwhentheignitionkeyisturned
to the ON position and may stay on for several
seconds. If theABS light does not come on have the
systemcheckedbyanauthorizeddealer.Thewarning
lightshouldbecheckedfrequentlytoassurethatitis
operatingproperly.
TheTripOdometershowsindividualtripmileageandis
accessedbypressingtheresetbutton.
20.
ChargingSystemLight
This light shows the status of the electrical
charging system. The light should come on
brieflywhentheignitionisfirstturnedonandremain
on briefly as a bulb check. If the light stays on or
comesonwhiledriving,turnoffsomeofthevehicle’s
electrical devices, such as the Fog Lights or Rear
IftheABSlightremainsonorcomesonwhiledriving,it
indicatesthattheAnti-Lockportionofthebrakesystem
isnotfunctioningandthatserviceisrequired,however,
the conventional brake system will continue to operate
normallyiftheredBRAKEwarninglightisnoton.
