Damagetothetransaxlemayoccurifthefollowing
precautionsarenotobserved:
ENGINE BLOCK HEATER — Optional  U.S. and
Standard Canada
Theseheatersuseacommonpowercordwhichisstored
underthehood,behindtheAirCleanerhousing.Plugthe
cordintoany110voltACoutletandbothheaterswillbe
energized.Usetheheaterswhentemperaturesbelow0°F
Shiftcompleteintostop.PARK only after the vehicle has come to a
ShiftintooroutofREVERSEonlyafterthevehiclehas
come to a complete stop and the engine is at idle
speed.

DonotshiftfromREVERSE,PARKorNEUTRALinto
anyforwardgearwhentheengineisaboveidlespeed.
Brake/Transmission Interlock
Thisinterlocksystempreventsyoufrommovingthegear
selectoroutoftheParkpositionunlessthebrakepedalis
pressed.Thissystemisactiveonlywhilethekeyisinthe
RUNposition.
Before shifting into any gear, make sure your foot is
firmlyonthebrakepedal.
Theelectronicallycontrolledtransaxleprovidesaprecise
shift schedule.  The  transaxle electronics  are self-
calibrating. Therefore, the first few shifts on a new
vehicle may be somewhat abrupt. This is a normal
condition,andprecisionshiftswilldevelopwithinafew
shiftcycles.
