Brake/Transmission Interlock
Thisinterlocksystempreventsyoufrommovingthegear
selectoroutoftheParkpositionunlessthebrakepedalis
pressed.Thissystemisactiveonlywhilethekeyisinthe
RUNposition.
Before shifting into any gear, make sure your foot is
firmlyonthebrakepedal.
Theelectronicallycontrolledtransaxleprovidesaprecise
shift schedule. The transaxle electronics are self-
calibrating. Therefore, the first few shifts on a new
vehicle may be somewhat abrupt. This is a normal
condition,andprecisionshiftswilldevelopwithinafew
shiftcycles.
