The fluid level in the automatic transaxle should be
checkedwheneverthevehicleisserviced.Operationwith
animproperfluidlevelwillgreatlyreducethelifeofthe
transaxleandofthefluid.

Fullyapplyparkingbrake.
• positionPlace theendinggear withselectorthelevermomentarilyinP(PARK).in each gear

Wipe the dipstick clean and reinsert until seated.
Removedipstickandnotereading.
Ifthefluidishot(180°F/82°C),thereadingshouldbe
inthecrosshatchedareamarked”HOT”(betweenthe
uppertwoholesinthedipstick).

Ifthefluidiscold(80°F/27°C),thereadingshouldbe
in the cross hatched area marked “COLD” (between
thelowertwoholesinthedipstick).
If the fluid level shows low, add sufficient transmis-
sionfluidtobringtotheproperlevel.
ProcedureForCheckingFluidLevel
Toproperlychecktheautomatictransaxlefluidlevel,the
followingproceduremustbeused:
