Tire Inflation Pressures
Improper inflation pressures can cause uneven wear
patternstodevelopacrossthetiretread.Theseabnormal
wearpatternswillreducetreadliferesultinginaneedfor
earlier tire replacement. Under inflation also increases
tirerollingresistanceandresultsinhigherfuelconsump-
tion.
The proper tire pressure for your vehicle is listed on a
label attached to the rear face of the driver’s door. The
pressure should be checked and adjusted at least once
everymonth.Checkmoreoftenifsubjecttoawiderange
of outdoor temperatures, as tire pressures vary with
temperaturechanges.

Inflation Pressure”. Cold inflation pressure is defined as
thetirepressureafterthevehiclehasnotbeendrivenforat
least 3 hours, or driven less than a mile after a 3 hour
