GAINsettingdisplay:ShowsthecurrentGAINsetting.Thiswill
illuminatewhenatrailerisconnected,flashifthetrailerbecomes
disconnected,orremainoffifnotrailerisconnected.

OUTPUTbargraph:Whenthevehicle’sbrakepedalispushed,or
whenthemanualcontrolisactivated,greenbarindicatorswillilluminate
toindicatetheamountofpowergoingtothetrailerbrakesrelativeto
thebrakepedalormanualcontrolinput.

Manualcontrollever:Slidethecontrollevertothelefttoactivate
powertothetrailer’selectricbrakesindependentofthetowvehicle’s
brakes(seethefollowingProcedureforadjustingGAINsectionfor
instructionsonproperuseofthisfeature).Ifthemanualcontrolis
activatedwhilethebrakeisalsoappliedthegreaterofthetwoinputs
determinesthepowersenttothetrailerbrakes.

StopLamps:ActivatingtheTBCmanualcontrolleverwillilluminate
boththetrailerbrakelampsandthetowvehiclebrakelamps
(presumingpropertrailerelectricalconnection).Pressingthevehicle
brakepedalwillalsoilluminatebothtrailerandvehiclebrakelamps.
GAIN
TheGAINsettingisusedtosettheTBCforthespecifictowing
conditionandshouldbechangedastowingconditionschange.Changes
totowingconditionsincludetrailerload,vehicleload,roadconditions
andweather.
TheGAINshouldbesettoprovidethemaximumtrailerbraking
assistancewhileensuringthetrailerwheelsdonotlockwhenbraking.
Lockedtrailerwheelsmayleadtotrailerinstability.
ProcedureforadjustingGAIN:
Note:Thisshouldonlybeperformedinatrafficfreeenvironmentat
speedsofapproximately20–25mph(30–40km/h).
