Vertical and horizontal aim adjustment (sealed beam headlamps)
Theheadlampsonyourvehicleareintendedtobeaimedusing
mechanicalaimers.Ifmechanicalaimersareusedandthecross-carsight
lineisinanywayblocked,setthelegsoftheuniversaladaptoralltothe
samesetting,suchthatthecross-carsightlineisnolongerblocked,per
theinstructionsforthebrandofmechanicalaimerused.Youcanalso
aimtheheadlampsvisuallyusingtheprocedurebelow.
Toadjusttheheadlamps:
1.
fromaverticalplainsurface(3).Checkyourheadlampalignmentat
nightorinadarkareasothatyoucanseetheheadlampbeampattern.
Parkyourvehicleonalevelsurfaceabout25feet(7.6meters)away

Turnonthelowbeamheadlamps
andopenthehood.
4.
Locatethehighintensityareaof
thebeampatternandplacethetop
edgeoftheintensityzoneevenwith
thehorizontalreferenceline(4).If
thetopedgeofthehighintensity
areaisnotevenwiththehorizontal
line,followthenextsteptoadjust
it.
