UNDERSTANDINGYOURINSTRUMENTPANEL

PTY(ProgramType)Button
Press  the Scan  button  to  scan  throu gh each  track  on  the
CD currently   playing.
Pressing  this  button  once  will turn  on  the PTY mode   for
5 second s. If no  action  is taken  during  the  5 second  time
out  the  PTY icon  will turn   off. Pressing  the  PTY button
rep eated ly  within   5  second s  will   allow   the  program
form at typ e  to be  selected . Many   rad io stations   do not
currently   broad cast PTY inform ation.
FF/TUNE/RW
Press  FF (Fast Forw ard ) and  the CD  player  will begin  to
fast  forw ard  until   FF  is  released .  The  RW  (  Reverse)
button  works  in  a similar  manner.
Toggle  the  PTY  button   to  select   the  follow ing  form at
typ es:
RandomPlay—SET/RND
Press the  RND button   while the  CD is playing  to activate
Rand om Play. This  featu re plays  the tracks  on the  disc in
rand om  ord er to provid e  an interesting   change  of  pace.
