A new engine may consu me som e oil during its first few
thou sand miles (kilom eters) of operation. This shou ld be
consid ered as a norm al part of the break-in and not
interp reted as an ind ication of difficulty.
If it is necessary to sit in a parked vehicle with the engine
running, adjust you r heating or cooling controls to force
outsid e air into the vehicle. Set the blow er at high speed .

Insp ect the belt system period ically, checking for cuts,
frays and loose parts. Dam aged parts must be rep laced
immediately. Do not disassem ble or modify the system .
Do not run the engine in a closed garage or in confined
areas any longer than need ed to move you r vehicle in or
out of the area.
