Bi-Level
Defrost
Air is directed throu gh the panel and floor outlets.
Air is directed throu gh the wind shield and side
wind ow demist outlets. Use this mode with maxi-
mum fan and tem peratu re settings for best wind shield
and side wind ow defrosting.
NOTE: There is a difference in tem peratu re betw een the
upper and lower outlets for added comfort. The warm er
air goes to the floor outlets. This featu re gives improved
comfort during sunny but cool cond itions.
NOTE:
The air cond itioning compressor operates in
both Mix and Defrost or a blend of these modes even if 4
the fan switch is not in the A/ C position. This dehu midi-
fies the air to help dry the wind shield . To improve fuel
econom y, use these modes only when necessary.
Floor
Air is directed throu gh the floor outlets and side
wind ow demist outlets with a small amount
throu gh the defrost outlet.
AirOutlets
The airflow from each of the instru ment panel outlets can
be adjusted for direction and turned on or off to control
air flow.
Mix
Air is directed throu gh the floor, defrost and side
wind ow demist outlets. This setting works best in
cold or snow y cond itions that requ ire extra heat at
the wind shield . This setting is good for maintaining
comfort while red ucing moistu re on the wind shield .
A knob attached in the center of each instru ment panel
outlet is used to adjust the airflow direction, and a knob
