If the seatback is prop erly latched and the rear center
lap/ shou lder belt still does not operate prop erly check
and see if the Autom atic Locking retractor (ALR)
system is activated .
TumblingRearSeat
To provid e additional storage in the cargo area, each rear
seat can be tumbled forw ard .
CAUTION!
WARNING!
Itisimportantthatthefrontseatsbepulledforward
to the midpoint of the seat track to avoid contact
between the rear seat and the front seatback. If the
front seat is not pulled forward the two seats will
makecontactduringthetumblingmotionandcause
damagetotherearseatmaterial.Aftertherearseatis
tumbledforwardandsecuredthefrontseatcanthen
berepositionedtothepreferredposition.
Therearcenterlap/shoulderbeltisequippedwitha
lock-outfeaturetoensurethattheseatbackisinthe
fullyuprightandlockedpositionwhenoccupied.If
therearseatbackisnotfullyuprightandlockedand
therearcenterlap/shoulderbeltcanbepulledoutof
the retractor, the vehicle should immediately be
takentoyourdealerforservice.Failuretofollowthis
warningcouldresultinseriousorfatalinjury.
