tirestress,irregularwear,lossofvehiclecontrolandaccidents.
Atirecanloseuptohalfofitsairpressureandnotappearto
beflat!
AlwaysinflateyourtirestotheMazdarecommendedinflationpressure
evenifitislessthanthemaximuminflationpressureinformationfound
onthetire.TheMazdarecommendedtireinflationpressureisfoundon
thetirelabelorcertificationlabelwhichisB-Pillarortheedgeofthe
driver’sdoor.Failuretofollowthetirepressurerecommendationscan
causeuneventreadwearpatternsandadverselyaffectthewayyour
vehiclehandles.
MaximumPermissibleInflationPressureisthetiremanufactures’
maximumpermissiblepressureand/orthepressureatwhichthe
maximumloadcanbecarriedbythetire.Thispressureisnormally
higherthanthemanufacturer’srecommendedcoldinflationpressure
whichcanbefoundoneitherthetirelabelorcertificationlabelwhichis
locatedonthestructurebythetrailingedgeofthedriver’sdoororthe
edgeofthedriver’sdoor.Thecoldinflationpressureshouldneverbeset
lowerthantherecommendedpressureonthetirelabelorcertification
label.
Whenweathertemperaturechangesoccur,tireinflationpressuresalso
change.A10°F(6°C)temperaturedropcausesacorrespondingdropof

psi(7kPa)ininflationpressure.Checkyourtirepressuresfrequently
andadjustthemtotheproperpressurewhichcanbefoundonthetire
labelorcertificationlabel.
Ifcheckingtirepressurewhenthetireishot,(i.e.drivenmorethan1
mile[1.6km]),never“bleed”orreduceairpressure.Thetiresarehot
fromdrivinganditisnormalforpressurestoincreaseabove
recommendedcoldpressures.Ahottireatorbelowrecommendedcold
inflationpressurecouldbesignificantlyunder-inflated.
