Yourfueltankfillercaphasanindexeddesignwitha1/4turnon/off
feature.
Whenfuelingyourvehicle:

Turntheengineoff.
Carefullyturnthefillercapcounterclockwise1/4ofaturnuntilit
stops.

Pulltoremovethecapfromthefuelfillerpipe.
Toinstallthecap,alignthetabsonthecapwiththenotchesonthe
fillerpipe.

Turnthefillercapclockwise1/4ofaturnuntilitstops.
“
CheckFuelCap”illuminateswhentheignitionisturnedtotheON
positiontoensureyourbulbisworking.Whenthislightturnson,check
thefuelfillercap.ContinuingtooperatethevehiclewiththeCheckFuel
Caplighton,canactivatetheServiceEngineSoonwarning.Whenthe
fuelfillercapisproperlyre-installed,thelight(s)willturnoffaftera
periodofnormaldriving.Itmaytakealongperiodoftimeforthe
systemtodetectanimproperlyinstalledfuelfillercap.
Ifyoumustreplacethefuelfillercap,replaceitwithafuelfiller
capthatisdesignedforyourvehicle.Thewarrantymaybevoid
foranydamagetothefueltankorfuelsystemifthecorrect
genuineMazdafuelfillercapisnotused.
WARNING: Thefuelsystemmaybeunderpressure.Ifthefuel
fillercapisventingvapororifyouhearahissingsound,wait
untilitstopsbeforecompletelyremovingthefuelfillercap.
Otherwise,fuelmaysprayoutandinjureyouorothers.
