Putyourfootonthebrakepedalandmovethegearshiftleverslowly
throughallofthegearranges.

ShifttoP(Park)andleavetheenginerunning.
Removethedipstick,wipecleanwithadrylintfreerag.
Installandfullyseatthedipstickintothefillertube.

Removethedipstickandinspect
thefluidlevel.Levelshouldbe
inthecross-hatchedarea.

Ifnecessary,addfluidin250ml(1/2pint)incrementsthroughthe
fillertubeuntiltheleveliscorrectatnormaloperatingtemperatures.
RefertotheLubricantspecificationssectioninthischapterforthe
correctfluidtype.Theuseofanyothernon-approvedfluidmay
causeinternaltransmissiondamage.

Fluidcanbecheckedatambient
temperaturesbetween10–30°C
(50–95°F).DONOTADDfluid
untilthetransmissionisat
normaloperatingtemperaturesorthetransmissionwillbeoverfilled.
Lowfluidlevel
Donotdrivethevehicleifthefluid
levelisatorbelowthebottomof
thedipstick.
