Thetiresonyourvehiclehaveallweathertreadstoprovidetractionin
rainandsnow.However,insomeclimates,youmayneedtousesnow
tiresandchains.Ifyouneedtousesnowtiresandchains,itis
recommendedthatsteelwheelsareusedofthesamesizeand
specificationsasthoseoriginallyinstalled.
Followtheseguidelineswhenusingsnowtiresandchains:

Donotusetirechainsonaluminumwheels.Chainsmaychipthe
wheels.

UseonlySAEClassSchains.
Installchainssecurely,verifyingthatthechainsdonottouchany
wiring,brakelinesorfuellines.
Drivecautiously.Ensureyouobtainthepropercablesorchains
foryouvehicle.Testfitthecablesorchainsbeforeusingthemin
snowand/orice.Ifyouhearthecablesorchainsruborbang
againstthevehicle,stopandretightenthem.Ifthisdoesnot
work,removethecablesorchainstopreventvehicledamage.
Havethecablesorchainsfittedbyaprofessionalbefore
proceeding.

Ifpossible,avoidfullyloadingyourvehicle.
Removethetirechainswhentheyarenolongerneeded.Donotuse
tirechainsondryroads.

Thesuspensioninsulationandbumperswillhelppreventvehicle
damage.Donotremovethesecomponentsfromyourvehiclewhen
usingsnowtiresandchains.

capability,withorwithoutatrailer.Properlyloadingyourvehiclewill
providemaximumreturnofvehicledesignperformance.Beforeloading
yourvehicle,familiarizeyourselfwiththefollowingtermsfordetermining
yourvehicle’sweightratings,withorwithoutatrailer,fromthevehicle’s
SafetyCertificationLabelandTireLabel:
BaseCurbWeight–istheweightofthevehicleincludingafulltankof
fuelandallstandardequipment.Itdoesnotincludepassengers,cargo,or
optionalequipment.
VehicleCurbWeight–istheweightofyournewvehiclewhenyou
pickeditupfromyourdealerplusanyaftermarketequipment.
