mayhandledifferentlythanunloadedvehicles.Extra
precautionssuchasslowerspeedsandincreasedstopping
distanceshouldbetakenwhendrivingaheavilyloadedvehicle.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OPERATION (IF EQUIPPED)
Brake-shift interlock
Thisvehicleisequippedwithabrake-shiftinterlockfeaturethatprevents
thegearshiftleverfrombeingmovedfromP(Park)whentheignitionis
intheONpositionunlessthebrakepedalisdepressed.
IfyoucannotmovethegearshiftleveroutofP(Park)withignitionin
theONpositionandthebrakepedaldepressed:
1.
Applytheparkingbrake,turn
ignitionkeytoLOCK,then
removethekey.
2.
Insertthekeyandturnitto
OFF.Applythebrakepedal
andshifttoN(Neutral).
WARNING: WhenthekeyisintheignitionandintheOFF
position,theautomatictransmissionshiftlevercanbemoved
fromtheP(Park)positionwithoutthebrakepedaldepressed.
Toavoidunwantedvehiclemovement,alwayssettheparking
brake.
