GasolinesthatmeettheWorld-wideFuelChartershouldbeusedwhen
available.Askyourfuelsupplieraboutgasolinesthatmeetthe
World-wideFuelCharter.
Itshouldnotbenecessarytoaddanyaftermarketproductstoyourfuel
tankifyoucontinuetousehighqualityfueloftherecommendedoctane
rating.Aftermarketproductscouldcausedamagetothefuelsystem.
Repairstocorrecttheeffectsofusinganaftermarketproductinyour
fuelmaynotbecoveredbyyourwarranty.
UnleadedGasolineengines
Ifyouareexperiencingstarting,roughidleorhesitationdriveability
problemsduringacoldstart,tryadifferentbrandof“Regular”unleaded
gasoline.“Premium”unleadedgasolineisnotrecommended(particularly
intheUnitedStates)becauseitmaycausetheseproblemstobecome
morepronounced.Iftheproblemspersist,seeyourauthorizedMazda
dealership.
FFVengine(ifequipped)
YourFFVwilloperatewellonordinary“Regular”unleadedgasoline,but
onlythehighestqualityfuelethanolwillprovidethesamelevelof
protectionandperformance.ToidentifyifyourvehicleisanFFV,check
yourVINorthelabelontheinsideofyourfuelfillerdoor.When
checkingtheVIN,lookfortheenginetypeidentifier(8thcharacter).If
yourvehicleisanFFV,thenthecharacterwillbelabeledasa“V.”
Ifyouoperateyourvehicle50%ormoreofthetimeonethanol,you
shouldfollowadifferentmaintenanceschedule.SeetheService

Ifyouareexperiencingaroughorrollingidleafterstart-upwiththe
outsidetemperatureabove27°C(80°F),theidleshouldimprovewithin
