positions(exceptthedriverposition,whichdoesn’thavethis
feature)mustbecheckedbyanauthorizeddealertoverifythatthe
automaticlockingretractorfeatureforchildseatsisstillfunctioning
properly.Inaddition,allsafetybeltsshouldbecheckedforproper
function.
BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBEREPLACEDif
thesafetybeltassembly“automaticlockingretractor”featureor
anyothersafetybeltfunctionisnotoperatingproperlywhenchecked
byanauthorizeddealer.FailuretoreplacetheBeltandRetractor
assemblycouldincreasetheriskofinjuryincollisions.
Safety belt height adjustment
Yourvehiclehassafetybeltheight
adjustmentsatthefrontoutboard
seatingpositions.Adjusttheheight
oftheshoulderbeltsothebeltrests
acrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.
Toadjusttheshoulderbeltheight,
squeezeandholdthebuttonsonthe
sideandslidetheheightadjusterup
ordown.Releasethebuttonsand
pulldownontheheightadjusterto
makesureitislockedinplace.
Positionthesafetybeltheightadjusterssothatthebeltrests
acrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.Failuretoadjustthesafety
beltproperlycouldreducetheeffectivenessofthesafetybeltand
increasetheriskofinjuryinacollision.

Yourvehicleisequippedwithsafetybeltpretensionersatthedriverand
frontpassengerseatingpositions.
Thesafetybeltpretensionersactivateduringfrontalcollisions,andin
sidecollisionsandrollovers.Asafetybeltpretensionerisadevicewhich
tightensthewebbingofthelapandshoulderbeltsinsuchawaythat
theyfitmoresnuglyagainstthebody.
