Recliningtheseatbackcancauseanoccupanttoslideunderthe
seat’ssafetybelt,resultinginseverepersonalinjuriesinthe
eventofacollision.
Donotpilecargohigherthantheseatbackstoreducetheriskof
injuryinacollisionorsuddenstop.
Beforereturningtheseatbacktoitsoriginalposition,makesure
thatcargooranyobjectsarenottrappedbehindtheseatback.
Afterreturningtheseatbacktoitsoriginalposition,pullonthe
seatbacktoensurethatithasfullylatched.Anunlatchedseatmay
becomedangerousintheeventofasuddenstoporcollision.
Adjustable head restraints
Tominimizetheriskofneckinjuryintheeventofacrash,the
driverandpassengeroccupantsshouldnotsitinand/oroperate
thevehicle,untiltheheadrestraintisplacedinitsproperposition.The
drivershouldneveradjusttheheadrestraintwhilethevehicleisin
motion.
Thepurposeoftheseheadrestraintsistohelplimitheadmotioninthe
eventofarearcollision.Toproperlyadjustyourheadrestraints,liftthe
headrestraintsothatitislocateddirectlybehindyourheadorasclose
tothatpositionaspossible.
Theheadrestraintscanbemoved
upanddown.
