Preparing your vehicle
Whenthebatteryisdisconnectedoranewbatteryisinstalled,the
automatictransmissionmustrelearnitsshiftstrategy.Asaresult,the
transmissionmayhavefirmand/orsoftshifts.Thisoperationis
considerednormalandwillnotaffectfunctionordurabilityofthe
transmission.Overtime,theadaptivelearningprocesswillfullyupdate
transmissionoperation.

Useonlya12–voltsupplytostartyourvehicle.
Donotdisconnectthebatteryofthedisabledvehicleasthiscould
damagethevehicle’selectricalsystem.

Parktheboostervehicleclosetothehoodofthedisabledvehicle
makingsurethetwovehiclesdonottouch.Settheparkingbrakeon
bothvehiclesandstayclearoftheenginecoolingfanandothermoving
parts.

Checkallbatteryterminalsandremoveanyexcessivecorrosionbefore
youattachthebatterycables.Ensurethatventcapsaretightandlevel.
5.
Turntheheaterfanoninbothvehiclestoprotectfromanyelectrical
surges.Turnallotheraccessoriesoff.
