TheSafetyCanopy™system

theheadlinerandabovethedoors
(oneoneachsideofvehicle).

abovethesidedoorstoallowSafetyCanopy™deployment.
Thesamewarninglight,electroniccontrolanddiagnosticunitasused
forthefrontairbags.

TwocrashsensorsmountedatlowerB-Pillar(oneoneachside).
Twocrashsensorslocatedatthec-pillarbehindthereardoors(one
oneachside).

Rolloversensorintherestraintscontrolmodule(RCM).
TheSafetyCanopy™system,incombinationwithsafetybelts,canhelp
reducetheriskofsevereinjuriesintheeventofasignificantsideimpact
collisionorrolloverevent.
Children12yearsoldandundershouldalwaysbeproperlyrestrainedin
thesecondorthirdrowseats.TheSafetyCanopy™willnotinterfere
withchildrenrestrainedusingaproperlyinstalledchildorboosterseat
becauseitisdesignedtoinflatedownwardfromtheheadlinerabovethe
doorsalongthesidewindowopening.
TheSafetyCanopy™systemisdesignedtoactivewhenthevehicle
sustainslateraldecelerationsufficienttocausetheRCMtoinitiateSafety
Canopy™inflationorwhenacertainlikelihoodofarollovereventis
detectedbytherolloversensor.
