alarm.Thealarmwillsoundifthe
trunklockisforced,orthetrunkis
openedwiththetrunkreleaselever
ortheemergencytrunkopener.

Thesecuritysystemhelpstoprotect
yourvehicleandvaluablesfromtheft.
Thehornsoundsandacombination
ofheadlights,parkinglights,side
markerlightsandtaillightsflashesif
someoneattemptstobreakintoyour
vehicleorremovetheaudiounit.
Thisalarmcontinuesfortwo
Thesecuritysystemwillnotsetif
thehood,trunk,oranydoorisnot
fullyclosed.Ifthesystemwillnotset,
checkthedoorandtrunkopen
monitorontheinstrumentpanel(see
page60)toseeifthedoorsand
trunkarefullyclosed.Sinceitisnot
partofthemonitordisplay,manually
checkthehood.
minutes,thenthesystemresets.To
resetanalarmingsystembeforethe
twominuteshaveelapsed,unlock
thedriver’sdoorwiththekeyorthe
remotetransmitter.
Oncethesecuritysystemisset,
openinganydoor(withoutusingthe
keyortheremotetransmitter),the
hood,orthetrunkwillcausethe
systemtoalarm.Italsoalarmsifthe
audiounitisremovedfromthe
dashboardorthewiringiscut.
Thesecuritysystemautomatically
sets15secondsafteryoulockthe
doors,hood,andtrunk.Forthe
systemtoactivate,youmustlockthe
doorsfromtheoutsidewiththekey,
driver’slocktab,doorlockmaster
switch,orremotetransmitter.The
securitysystemindicatoronthe
instrumentpanelstartsblinking
immediatelytoshowyouthesystem
issettingitself.
