seatbeltsprovidethebest
protection.
Yourairbagsystemsarevirtually
maintenancefree,andthereareno
partsyoucansafelyservice.
However,youmusthaveyour
vehicleservicedif:
problem.Takeyourvehicletoan
authorizeddealerassoonas
possible.Ifyouignorethis
indication,yourairbagsmaynot
operateproperly.
Donottamperwithairbag
componentsorwiringforany
reason.Tamperingcouldcause
theairbagstodeploy,possibly
causingveryseriousinjury.
Anairbageverinflates.Anyairbag
thathasdeployedmustbe
replacedalongwiththecontrol
unitandotherrelatedparts.Any
seatbelttensionerthatactivates
mustalsobereplaced.
Ifyourvehiclehasamoderateto
severeimpact.Evenifyour
airbagsdonotinflate,yourdealer
shouldinspectthedriver’sseat
positionsensor,thefront
passenger’sweightsensors,the
frontseatbelttensioners,andall
seatbeltswornduringacrashto
makesuretheyareoperating
properly.
Donotexposethefront passenger’s
seat-backtoliquid.Ifwateror
anotherliquidsoaksintoaseat-
back,itcanpreventthesideairbag
cutoffsystemfromworking
properly.
Donottrytoremoveorreplace
anyairbagbyyourself.Thismust
bedonebyanauthorizeddealeror
aknowledgeablebodyshop.
