Thebrakesystemindicatornormally
comesonwhenyouturntheignition
switchtotheON(II)position,andas
aremindertochecktheparking
brake.Itwillstayonifyoudonot
fullyreleasetheparkingbrake.
Ifyoumustdrivethevehicleashort
distanceinthiscondition,drive
slowlyandcarefully.
Ifthebrakesystemindicatorcomes
onwhiledriving,thebrakefluidlevel
isprobablylow.Presslightlyonthe
brakepedaltoseeifitfeelsnormal.
Ifitdoes,checkthebrakefluidlevel
thenexttimeyoustopataservice
station(seepage326).
IftheABSindicatorandtheVSA
systemindicatorcomeonwiththe
brakesystemindicator,haveyour
vehicleinspectedbyyourdealer
immediately.
Ifthefluidlevelislow,takeyour
vehicletoadealer,andhavethe
brakesysteminspectedforleaksor
wornbrakepads.
