InstallingaChildSeat
movementcanbeexpectedand
shouldnotreducethechildseat’s

Afterselectingaproperchildseat
andagoodplacetoinstalltheseat,
therearethreemainstepsin
installingtheseat:
Beforepurchasingaconventional
childseat,orusingapreviously
purchasedone,werecommendthat
youtesttheseatinthespecific
vehicleseatingpositionorpositions
wheretheseatwillbeused.
Ifthechildseatisnotsecure,try
installingitinadifferentseating
position,oruseadifferentstyleof
childseatthatcanbefirmlysecured.
1.Properlysecurethechildseatto
thevehicle.Allchildseatsmustbe
securedtothevehiclewiththelap
partofalap/shoulderbeltorwith
theLATCH(loweranchorsand
tethersforchildren)system.A

Makesurethechildisproperly
strappedinthechildseat
accordingtothechildseatmaker’s
instructions.Achildwhoisnot
properlysecuredinachildseat
canbeseriouslyinjuredinacrash.

secured.Afterinstallingachild
seat,pushandpulltheseat
forwardandfromside-to-sideto
verifythatitissecure.
