Donotputarear-facingchildseatin
aforward-facingposition.Ifplaced
facingforward,aninfantcouldbe
veryseriouslyinjuredduringa
frontalcollision.
Ifthepassenger’sfrontairbag
inflates,itcanhitthebackofthe
childseatwithenoughforcetokillor
seriouslyinjureaninfant.
Whenproperlyinstalled,arear-
facingchildseatmaypreventthe
driverorafrontpassengerfrom
movingtheirseatasfarbackas
recommended,orfromlockingtheir
seat-backinthedesiredposition.
ChildSeatType
Aninfantmustbeproperly
restrainedinarear-facing,reclining
childseatuntilthechildreachesthe
seatmaker’sweightorheightlimit
fortheseat,andthechildisatleast
oneyearold.
Itcouldalsointerferewithproper
operationofthepassenger’s
advancedfrontairbagsystem.
Onlyarear-facingchildseatprovides
propersupportforababy’shead,
