monoxideshouldnotenterthe
vehicleinnormaldrivingifyou
maintainyourvehicleproperlyand
followtheinformationonthispage.
Withthetrunkopen,airflowcanpull
exhaustgasintoyourvehicle’s
interiorandcreateahazardous
condition.Ifyoumustdrivewiththe
trunkopen,openallthewindowsand
settheheatingandcoolingsystem/
climatecontrolsystemasshown
below.
Carbonmonoxidegasistoxic.
Breathingitcancause
unconsciousnessandevenkill
you.
Havetheexhaustsysteminspected
forleakswhenever:
Avoidanyenclosedareasor
activitiesthatexposeyouto
carbonmonoxide.
Ifyoumustsitinyourparkedvehicle
withtheenginerunning,eveninan
unconfinedarea,adjusttheheating
andcoolingsystem/climatecontrol
systemasfollows:
Thevehicleisraisedforanoil
change.
Highlevelsofcarbonmonoxidecan
collectrapidlyinenclosedareas,
suchasagarage.Donotrunthe
enginewiththegaragedoorclosed.
Evenwiththedooropen,runthe
engineonlylongenoughtomovethe
vehicleoutofthegarage.
Younoticeachangeinthesound
oftheexhaust.
1.Selectthefreshairmode.
Thevehiclewasinanaccident
thatmayhavedamagedthe
underside.
2.Selectthe
mode.
3.Turnthefanonhighspeed.
