manufacturer’sinstructionspermitusewiththeanchorspacingstated.
Donotattachachildseattoanyloweranchorifanadjacentchildseatis
attachedtothatanchor.
WARNING:ThestandardizedspacingforLATCHloweranchors
is280mm(11inches)centertocenter.DonotuseLATCH
loweranchorsforthecenterseatingpositionunlessthechildseat
manufacturer’sinstructionspermitandspecifyusinganchorsspacedat
leastasfarapartasthoseinthisvehicle.
Eachtimeyouusethesafetyseat,checkthattheseatisproperly
attachedtotheloweranchorsandtetheranchor,ifapplicable.Tugthe
childseatfromsidetosideandforwardandbackwhereitissecuredto
thevehicle.Theseatshouldmovelessthanoneinchwhenyoudothis
foraproperinstallation.
Ifthesafetyseatisnotanchoredproperly,theriskofachildbeing
injuredinacrashgreatlyincreases.
CombiningsafetybeltandLATCHloweranchorsforattaching
childsafetyseats
Whenusedincombination,eitherthesafetybeltortheLATCHlower
anchorsmaybeattachedfirst,providedaproperinstallationisachieved.
Attachthetetherstrapafterward,ifincludedwiththechildseat.Refer

Manyforward-facingchildsafetyseatsincludeatetherstrapwhich
extendsfromthebackofthechildsafetyseatandhookstoananchoring
pointcalledthetoptetheranchor.Tetherstrapsareavailableasan
accessoryformanyoldersafetyseats.Contactthemanufacturerofyour
childseatforinformationaboutorderingatetherstrap,ortoobtaina
longertetherstrapifthetetherstraponyoursafetyseatdoesnotreach
theappropriatetoptetheranchorinthevehicle.
