Tostartthevehicle:

Makesuretheparkingbrakeisfullyset.
Presstheclutchpedaltothe

Starttheengine.

Pressthebrakepedalandmove
thegearshiftlevertothedesired
gear;1(First)orR(Reverse).
5.
Releasetheparkingbrake,thenslowlyreleasetheclutchpedalwhile
slowlypressingontheaccelerator.
Duringeachshift,theclutchpedalmustbefullypressedtothefloor.
Makesurethefloormatisproperlypositionedsoitdoesn’tinterferewith
thefullextensionoftheclutchpedal.
Failuretofullypresstheclutchpedaltothefloormaycause
increasedshiftefforts,prematurelyweartransmission
componentsordamagethetransmission.
Donotdrivewithyourfootrestingontheclutchpedalorusethe
clutchpedaltoholdyourvehicleatastandstillwhilewaitingona
hill.Theseactionswillseverelyreducethelifeoftheclutchand
couldnullifyaclutchwarrantyclaim.
Recommended shift speeds
Donotdownshiftinto1(First)whenyourvehicleismoving
fasterthan30mph(48km/h).Thismaydamagetheclutchand/or
transmission.
