ABS
thelightdoesnotilluminateduring
startup,remainsonorflashes,the
ABSmaybedisabledandmayneedtobeserviced.
EvenwhentheABSisdisabledand
theABSlightison,normalbraking
isstilleffective.IfyourBRAKE
warninglampilluminateswiththe
parkingbrakereleased,haveyour
brakesystemservicedimmediately.

UsingABS
Whenhardbrakingisrequired,applycontinuousforceonthebrake
pedal;donotpumpthebrakepedalsincethiswillreducethe
effectivenessoftheABSandwillincreaseyourvehicle’sstopping
distance.TheABSwillbeactivatedimmediately,allowingyoutoretain
fullsteeringcontrolduringhardbrakingandonslipperysurfaces.
However,theABSdoesnotdecreasestoppingdistanceanddoesnot
decreasethetimenecessarytoapplythebrakes.
Parking brake
Tosettheparkingbrake(1),pull
theparkingbrakehandleupasfar
aspossible.
