Disconnectthecombinationlap/shoulderbeltandallowittoretract
completelytodisengagetheautomaticlockingmodeandactivatethe
vehiclesensitive(emergency)lockingmode.
Afteranyvehiclecollision,thesafetybeltsystemsatalloutboard
seatingpositions(exceptdriver,whichhasnoautomaticlocking
feature)mustbecheckedbyaqualifiedtechniciantoverifythatthe
“automaticlockingretractor”featureforchildseatsisstillfunctioning
properly.Inaddition,allseatbeltsshouldbecheckedforproper
function.
BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBEREPLACEDif
theseatbeltassembly“automaticlockingretractor”featureor
anyotherseatbeltfunctionisnotoperatingproperlywhenchecked
accordingtotheproceduresinWorkshopManual.
FailuretoreplacetheBeltandRetractorassemblycould
increasetheriskofinjuryincollisions.
