conditions,don’tdrivewiththeclimatecontrolsystemintheOFFor
MAXA/Cposition.
Toreducehumiditybuildupinsidethevehicleinwarmweather
conditions,don’tdrivewiththeclimatecontrolsystemintheOFF
position.
Undernormalweatherconditions,yourvehicle’sclimatecontrol
systemshouldbeleftinanypositionotherthantheMAXA/CorOFF
whenthevehicleisparked.Thisallowsthevehicleto“breathe”
throughtheoutsideairinletduct.

Undersnowyordirtyweatherconditions,yourvehicle’sclimate
controlsystemshouldbeleftintheOFFpositionwhenthevehicleis
parked.Thisallowstheclimatecontrolsystemtobefreefrom
contaminationofoutsidepollutants.
Ifyourvehiclehasbeenparkedwiththewindowsclosedduringwarm
weatherconditions,theairconditionerwillperformmoreefficientlyin
coolingthevehicleifdrivenfortwoorthreeminuteswiththe
windowsopen.Thiswillforcemostofthehot,staleairoutofthe
vehicle.Oncethevehiclehasbeen“airedout”,operatetheclimate
controlsystemasdesired.

Donotputobjectsunderthefrontseatwhichmayinterferewiththe
airflowtotherearseats(ifequipped).
Removeanysnow,iceorleavesfromtheairintakearea(atthe
bottomofthewindshieldandunderneaththehood).
Donotplaceobjectsoverthedefrosteroutlets.Theseobjectscan
blockairflowandreducevisibilitythroughyourwindshield.Avoid
placingsmallobjectsontopoftheinstrumentpanel.Theseobjects
mayfalldownintothedefrosteroutletsandblockairflow,inaddition
to,damagingtheclimatecontrolsystem.
