Inordertoavoidscratchingtheplasticlamps,donotusedry
papertowels,non-approvedchemicalsolventsorabrasive
cleaners.
UseasoftclothandasolutionofTripleClean(EOAZ-19526–AA),mixed
properlywithwater,inordertoremovebugresidue.Iftarorgrease
spotsarepresent,cleanwithExtraStrengthTarandRoadOilRemoval
(B7A-19520–AA).
CLEANING THE WINDSHIELD, WIPER BLADES AND REAR
WINDOW
Ifthewiperdoesnotwipeproperly,substancesonthewindshield,rear
windoworthewiperbladesmaybethecause.Thesemayincludehot
waxtreatmentsusedbycommercialcarwashes,treesap,orother
organiccontamination.
Donotcleanthewindshieldorrearwindowglasswithabrasives,
astheymaycausescratches.
Donotusefuel,kerosene,orpaintthinnertocleanthe
windshield,rearwindoworthewiperbladesasdamagemay
occur.
Cleantheoutsideofthewindshieldorrearwindowwithanon-abrasive
cleanersuchasUltraClearSprayGlassCleaner(E4AZ-19C507–AA),
availablefromyourauthorizedFord,LincolnorMercurydealer.Ifafter
cleaningtheglasssurface,thewatersheetsfromtheglass(e.g.,doesnot
bead),thenthewindowisclean.
Thewindshield,rearwindowandwiperbladesshouldbecleaned
regularly.Wiperbladescanbecleanedwithisopropyl(rubbing)alcohol
orwindshieldwashersolution.Besuretoreplacewiperbladeswhen
theyappearwornordonotfunctionproperly.
