miles (40 to 48 km), with monaural (single
channel) FM having slightly more range than
stereo FM. External influences may sometimes
interferewithFMstationreceptioneveniftheFM
stationiswithin25miles(40km).Thestrength
oftheFMsignalisdirectlyrelatedtothedistance
betweenthetransmitterandreceiver.FMsignals
