Pullontheshoulderbeltuntilallofthebeltis
fullyextended.Atthistime,thebeltretractor
is in the automatic locking mode (child re-
straint mode). It reverts back to emergency
lockingmodewhenthebeltisfullyretracted.
4. Allowthebelttoretract.Pulluponthebeltto
removeanyslackinthebelt.
5. Beforeplacingthechildinthechildrestraint,
useforcetotiltthechildrestraintfromsideto
side,andtugitforwardtomakesurethatitis
securelyheldinplace.
6.
Check that the retractor is in the automatic
lockingmodebytryingtopullmorebeltoutof
theretractor.Ifyoucannotpullanymorebelt
webbingoutoftheretractor,thebeltisinthe
automaticlockingmode.
7.
Checktomakesurethatthechildrestraintis
properlysecuredpriortoeachuse.Ifthebelt
isnotlocked,repeatsteps3through6.
Afterthechildrestraintisremovedandtheseat
belt is allowed to wind back into the retractor,
