When attaching the rear center seat
belt connector, be certain that the
seatbacksarecompletelysecuredin
thelatchedpositionandtherearcen-
terseatbeltconnectoriscompletely
secured.
Alwaysbesuretherearcenterseatbeltconnec-
tor tongue and connector buckle are attached.
Disconnect only when folding down the rear
seat.

Pull out the connector tongue from the re-
tractorbase 1 .
Iftherearcenterseatbeltconnector
andtheseatbacksarenotsecuredin
thecorrectposition,seriouspersonal
injury may result in an accident or
suddenstop.

Pullouttheseatbelttonguefromtheretrac-
k
torbase 2 .
Pull the seat belt and secure the connector

buckleuntilitclicks 3 .

The center seat belt connector tongue and
buckleareindicatedbythe“̄”and“̆ ”mark.
Storingrearseatbeltbuckles
Beforefoldingdowntheseat,putthebucklesin
the storage of the seat cushion to avoid drop-
pingitundertheseatcushion.
The center seat belt connector tongue can be
attached only into the rear center seat belt
connectorbuckle.
SEATBELTEXTENDERS
Tofastentheseatbelt,see“Fasteningtheseat
belt”earlierinthissection.
If,becauseofbodysizeordrivingposition,itis
notpossibletoproperlyfitthelap-shoulderbelt
and fasten it, an extender is available which is
compatible with the installed seat belts. The
extenderaddsapproximately8inches(200mm)
oflengthandmaybeusedforeitherthedriveror
front passenger seating position. See your
