STARTING AND OPERATING
Shift Lock Manual Override
Yourvehiclemaybeequippedwithashiftlockmanual
override.Themanualoverridemaybeusedintheevent
thattheshiftlevershouldfailtomovefromPARKwith
the key in the ON position and the brake pedal de-
pressed. To operate the shift lock manual override, per-
formthefollowingsteps:

Firmlysettheparkingbrake.
Using a flat blade screwdriver, carefully remove the
shiftlockmanualoverridecoverwhichislocatedonthe
PRNDLbezel,abovethePARKposition.

DepresstheshifterreleasebuttonandshiftintoNEU-
