NOTE: Toresetthisfeatureyoumustletallofthebelt
webbingreturnintotheretractor.Youwillnotbeableto
pulloutmorewebbinguntilallofthewebbinghasbeen
returnedbackintotheretractor.
Thetetherstrapshouldberoutedunderthecenterofthe
head restraint and attached to the tether anchor on the
rearoftheseatback.Thentightenallthreestrapsasyou
pushthechildrestraintrearwardanddownwardintothe
seat.

InstallingtheChildRestraintSystem
We urge you to carefully follow the directions of the
manufacturerwheninstallingyourchildrestraint.Many,
but not all, restraint systems will be equipped with
separatestrapsoneachside,witheachhavingahookor
connectorforattachmenttotheloweranchorage,anda
means for adjusting the tension of the strap. Forward-
facingtoddlerrestraintsandsomerearward-facinginfant
restraintswillalsobeequippedwithatetherstraphaving
ahookforattachmenttothetetherstrapanchorage,and
ameansforadjustingthetensionofthestrap.
Not all child restraint systems will be installed as we
havedescribedhere.Again,carefullyfollowtheinstruc-
tionsthatcomewiththechildrestraintsystem.
NOTE: If your child restraint seat is not LATCH com-
patible,installtherestraintusingthevehicleseatbelts.
WARNING!
An incorrectly anchored tether strap could lead to
increased head motion and possible injury to the
child. Use only the anchor position directly behind
the child seat to secure a child restraint top tether
strap.
Ingeneral,youwillfirstloosentheadjustersonthelower
andtetherstrapssothatyoucanmoreeasilyattachthe
hook or connector to the lower and tether anchorages.
