Tire Identification Number (TIN)
locatedonthewhitesidewallsideofthetire.Lookforthe
TINontheoutboardsideofblacksidewalltiresasmounted
onthevehicle.IftheTINisnotfoundontheoutboardside
thenyouwillfinditontheinboardsideofthetire.
The TIN may be found on one or both sides of the tire
howeverthedatecodemayonlybeononeside.Tireswith
whitesidewallswillhavethefullTINincludingdatecode

DOT=DepartmentofTransportation
—ThissymbolcertifiesthatthetireisincompliancewiththeU.S.DepartmentofTransportationtire
safetystandards,andisapprovedforhighwayuse.

ABCD=Codeusedbytiremanufacturer(1to4digits)
