tilt the latch plate and pull on the lap belt.Asnug belt
reducestheriskofslidingunderthebeltinacollision.
A belt that is buckled into the wrong buckle will not
protectyouproperly.Thelapportioncouldridetoohigh
onyourbody,possiblycausinginternalinjuries.Always
buckleyourbeltintothebucklenearestyou.
A belt that is loose will not protect you as well. In a
suddenstopyoucouldmovetoofarforward,increasing
thepossibilityofinjury.Wearyourseatbeltsnugly.
