Foroptimaltraining,pointthebatteryendofthehand-
heldtransmitterawayfromtheHomeLink.
4. Pressandholdthejust-trainedHomeLinkbutton.If
thechannelhasbeentrained,theEVICdisplaywillnow
state“CHANNEL#TRANSMIT.”

Simultaneously, press and hold both the chosen
HomeLinkbuttonandthehand-heldtransmitterbutton
until the EVIC display changes from “CHANNEL #
TRAINING”to“CHANNEL#TRAINED.”
If the EVIC display still states “CHANNEL # TRAIN-
ING”repeatStep3.
NOTE:
After training a HomeLink channel, if the
ThenreleaseboththeHomeLinkandhand-heldtrans-
mitterbuttons.

garage door opener was manufactured after 1995, the

5. PROGRAMMINGAROLLINGCODESYSTEM
Atthegaragedooropenermotor(inthegarage),locate
the“learn”or“training”button.
Itmaytakeupto30seconds,orlonger,inrarecases.The
garagedoormayopenandclosewhileyoutrain.
